1. Spirit: God isThere is only one God. He has revealed Himself as the Father in creation, as the Son in redemption, and as the Holy Spirit in regeneration. Jesus Christ is that one true God manifested in flesh. In Him dwells all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. To see Jesus is to see the Father (Deut. 6:4; John 14:9; Col. 2:9; 1 Tim. 3:16)2. Scripture: God SpeaksThe Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God and our final authority in all matters of faith and life. It is true in all that it teaches and reveals God’s will for salvation and holiness (2 Tim. 3:15–17; Ps. 119:105; 2 Pet. 1:19)3. Genesis: God CreatesGod created mankind in His image. Life begins at conception, and every person is sacred. Marriage is ordained of God as the union of one man and one woman (Gen. 1:26–27; Gen. 2:24; Jer. 1:5)4. Fall: God JudgesHumanity fell into sin through disobedience in the garden. Because of Adam’s sin, all are born sinners and need salvation. We must be born again of water and Spirit to be restored to God (Rom. 3:23; John 3:3–5; 1 John 1:8–10)5. Christ: God RevealedThe one God manifested Himself in flesh as Jesus Christ for our redemption. Jesus did not have an earthly father; he was the son of God. Jesus is both fully God and fully man, the only mediator between God and humanity. He is the Savior foretold by the prophets and revealed to us in the New Testament (Isa. 43:11; John 10:30; John 14:9; 1 Tim. 2:5)6. Cross: God RestoresThrough His sinless life, sacrificial death, and shed blood, Jesus Christ made atonement for our sins. His death provides forgiveness, but that forgiveness is applied to us when we obey the gospel through repentance, baptism in the name of Jesus, and the infilling of the Holy Ghost (Acts 2:38; Heb. 9:22)7. New Birth: God SavesJesus rose on the third day, proving His victory over sin and death. The New Testament church shows the plan of salvation: repent, be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and receive the gift of the Holy Ghost, evidenced by speaking in tongues. This is the same new birth experience taught and practiced by the apostles (Acts 2:38–39; Acts 10:44–48; Acts 19:1–6)8. Church: God PerfectsThe church is the body of Christ, made up of Spirit-filled believers. The church gathers for worship, prayer, fellowship, the apostles’ doctrine, and breaking of bread. We are called to live holy, separated lives and to take the gospel to all the world (Acts 2:42–47; Heb. 12:14; Eph. 4:3)9. Worship: God MovesWe were created to worship God with our lives. Worship includes prayer, praise, financial giving, music, and obedience. True worship must be in Spirit and in truth (John 4:23–24; Col. 3:16; 2 Cor. 9:7)10. Evangelism: God ReachesThe mission of the church is to reach the lost with the whole gospel by the whole church to the whole world. Every believer is called to share the message of salvation and make disciples (Matt. 28:19; Mark 16:15; Acts 1:8)
